Hey everybody! This is the first time I've done anything like this so I hope you don't mind how absolutely terrible I am at writing my first-ever BLOG. This... is my apocalypse blog! Or Apocablog.
But Dolm, why would you write a blog now?!
Just last week, the Authority-Net announced that the last star had gone out. This hit me and basically everyone I know like a steel bat. I spent all week in bed just staring at the window. Eventually, my family had a sit-down and to make a long story short, I learned about blogging and loved the idea of it.
Of course, I don't expect this to take anything by storm. I'm just here to have fun and get used to the new world.
A Bit About Me
My name is Dolm, no last name. Right now, I live in Helena Station with my family; my Mom, Dad, a few cousins and seventeen of my siblings. We don't live together, just neighbors. I've got my own place that's pretty sweet if you don't mind my bragging.
For those who don't know, Helena Station is the one that orbits the Serius quasar built to harvest radiation and gravitational energy before they figured out antimatter batteries. It's mostly a residential station now, but we still power a few systems for the heck of it.
As of last month, I am now 1,293 years old! The whole family went to a 56th-century-style waterpark in the local nebula to celebrate. I can still see the freaked-out look on the admissions guy when he saw all 78 of us lined up!
As for what I do, I currently work as a muralist, meaning that I paint artwork on buildings, bridges, and general infrastructure like that. I love what I do even while things are in the state they're in.
Before I go, I want this to be a way to get my thoughts out more than anything. Everyone is trying to cope and this is me trying to do the same. I don't expect anyone to read this. In fact, the thought of it is kind of embarrassing.
Naturally, this is a work of fiction. I've decided to start this as an ongoing project to experiment. There is no set schedule for posts but that may change depending on a number of factors. Accept notifications to get updates on the story or follow me on one of my social media accounts.
